Summer Intensive
Modas Dance Summer Intensive 2013 will take place In Albuquerque New Mexico July 8th-Aug. 3th on the beautiful campus of the University of New Mexico. Participants will study a core curriculum of Ballet & Pointe, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Gyrokinesis and Repertoire with supporting classes in Tap, Improvisation, Flamenco and more. There will be four levels ranging from Intermediate to Pre-Professional with an age range 11-25. Participants will be in class approximately 6-8 hours per day M-F and 4-6 hours per day on Saturdays. Sundays will be a day off with supervised field trips and activities available. At the end of each week there will be informal studio showings followed by a question and answer session that is free and open to the public. There will be a culminating performance showcasing the repertoire learned throughout the course of the intensive.
To Audition:
You may submit a video no longer than 10 min in length that showcases you as a dancer. There are no specific requirements for the video except that you should be easily recognizable and it should be a good example of what you have to offer.

- Short bio and resume must be submitted with applications – Can be sent via email to layla@modasdance.com
- Videos should be submitted before April 10th or as soon as possible (space is limited and acceptance is first come first serve)
- If you attended Modas 2012 and/or were invited by Duncan Cooper or Layla Amis you do not need to audition however you must enroll online by Feb. 15th 2013 to reserve your spot in the program
Deadline for video auditions is March 25th 2013. It is highly recommended that you audition a.s.a.p; applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
